Heavy Chocolate cake from CZE Pog step by step

  1. Start by melting the chocolate (in a water bath??) once it's melted add the butter and mix to combine, once that's melted add the coffee and mix well. Whilst your stuff is melting, sift and mix all dry ingredients (except the coffee). Once your chocolate mixture is incorporated, let it cool for few minutes..
  2. Once colder, put it in the bowl with the dry ingredients and add the milk, eggs & vanilla. Mix very well, the batter should be kinda tough/heavy. Preheat your oven to 160°C and prepare your cake form..
  3. I personally swipe it with some oil and cover in "rough" flour, but I guess you can use the baking paper or the spray thing. Once your heat is ready put it. The original recipe calls for 1 hours, but for me it was way to short, so mine usually baked around 1:30 - 1:45 hr. Make sure to check with wooden skewer, that's the easiest way to know it..
  4. Optional: Once the cake is out, let it cool down completely or at least for the most part. Slice in half (horizontally) with a big knife or my own life hack, use a floss (wash it). Add jam/marmalade of your liking. I can recommend strawberry one (goes really good with the chocolate taste or perhaps blueberry). Make sure to add more than you think is enough, the cake is gonna soak some. I assume any filling would work, maybe even the ganache, but I really like the freshness the jam adds..
  5. Ganache/Topping: Heat up the cream and when it's almost boiling, turn of the heat and add the chocolate. Mix well to incorporate. Now you can eat pour it straight away or wait a little bit so it gets more firm and easier to spread on sides..
