Ingredients of Lemon Drizzle Cake

  1. It's of Cake mix.
  2. You need 115 g of butter.
  3. You need 170 g of caster sugar.
  4. You need 2 of eggs.
  5. Prepare 170 g of self raising flour.
  6. You need pinch of salt.
  7. It's 4 tbsp of milk.
  8. You need of grated rind of 1 lemon.
  9. You need of Syrup.
  10. You need of juice of 1 lemon.
  11. Prepare 3 tbsp of icing sugar.

Lemon Drizzle Cake step by step

  1. Grease and line 2lb loaf tin.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together.
  3. Slowly add beaten egg.
  4. Stir in flour and salt.
  5. Mix in lemon rind and milk.
  6. Pour into tin and bake for 35min at 180oC.
  7. Heat icing sugar and lemon juice until it forms a syrup.
  8. While cake is still warm and in tin, prick top and pour on the warm syrup.
  9. Leave cake in tin until cold before taking out.
