- You need 3 of jumbo or 4 large eggs.
- It's 3/4 cup of sugar.
- It's 1/4 cup of oil.
- You need 1/2 cup of boiling water.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of cocoa.
- Prepare 1 cup of flour(sift).
- Prepare 2 tsp of baking powder(sift).
Chocolate Sponge Cake step by step
- Mix boiling water and cocoa and set aside.
- Beat eggs and sugar till white and fluffy.
- Add oil and beat again..
- Remove from machine and add cocoa mixture and fold in with metal spoon.
- Sift flour and baking powder and fold into mixture with spoon.
- Pour into lined and greased baking pan and bake at 180° for +-30 mins or until done.
- Cool cake and decorate with ganache and chopped almonds.
